These two words (and an exclamation point) are from E.M. Forster’s 1910 novel Howards End. They’ve got absolutely nothing to do with advertising. But they say everything about how to do it well. I’m an award-winning creative leader who loves connecting with customers across all kinds of media, in all shapes and sizes. I’ve worked at agencies, in house, and freelance on both B2B and B2C brands. I’ve spearheaded 360-degree campaigns that were on strategy, on message, on time, and on budget. I've written many thousands of words of marketing copy, UX copy, and editorial content, and I've established a brand voice across all touchpoints of the customer journey. I actually have a not-so-scientific way to tell if what I’m working on will connect with customers — I get goosebumps. Seriously. And if I get goosebumps, there’s a good chance they’ll get goosebumps — and feel a connection — too.
